There are many reasons that I love my little Graydon...but getting out of going to Girls Camp this summer is now at the top of the list! :) Three other leaders, two of which just had babies in June, all drove up together for Visitors night. This is how the car situation turned out; Melissa and myself in the front seats. The three babies, Annalise, Graydon and Quinton, took up the middle seat, and then the two other mom's, Megan and Esther in the back seat. It was sort of comical...but all three babies slept soundly going and coming.
As soon as we arrived at the camp the Young Women ran and literally climbed on my car and began fighting over who got to hold which baby.
The girls were more than excited to strap on the baby bjorns and hike over to the Stake devotional.
We had a very yummy dutch oven dinner, followed by the Stake nightly devotional and then ward testimony meeting. By the end of the evening, after a beautiful testimony meeting with all the girls, leaders and the bishopric, it reminded me of why Girls Camp is so wonderful and I'd be happy to go again without the kids sometime. It will still be an adjustment to stay in tents and cook all our own food, from my Girls Camp experiences in Ohio. Cabins with full bathrooms in them, cafeteria for all meals, and a pool...but 4 days away from the kids....it may be worth it! :)

This year the girls roughed it in tents and no cafeteria. They all got chewed alive by chiggers. The bugs have been so bad this summer with having had such a wet spring.
