Daniel and Uncle Stuart, took Tucker skiing yesterday for the first time. Stuart had snacks and gum in his backpack, to help entertain Tucker man, so cute. Daniel just held Tucker between his legs and skied down the hill, fast. Tucker loved it. He was woo hooing all the way down. They did have Tucker try it on his own a little bit, but we've got to help him figure out how to hold his balance on top of skis. All and all, we'd say it was a success. Should be a fun winter for Daddy and Tucker...and Stuart!

Twilight

Here's a picture from my second viewing of Twilight. Yes, I have already seen it twice! I went Thursday night at midnight, with four other girls from my ward. (Elly Carter, Kourtney Mather (Elly's sister), Natalie Benson, and Melissa Davis) What a blast. We sat on the second row, and still just loved it!

Last night I went with my mother-in-law and sister-in-laws. (Michelle, Anne Marie, Annalisa, Amy and Brooke) Once again, amazing! Although this time we were right in the middle of the theatre, because Annalisa got there at 8:00 for our 10:15 showing, and was fourth in line! Thanks Anna!

The movie was just perfect! Just as I had imagined when I was reading the book!

Playing in the snow

Today I put Nora Jane down for her nap, and got to hang out with my little Tucker Man outside in the snow. He has been asking to go play in the snow ever since he came in my room yesterday morning and yelled..."its snowing!" It was pretty fun, and we got to use our snowman kit for the first time. (we got it from Greg and Tiffany last christmas) However the snow was being difficult, so we made a 1 dimensional snowman.

When I told Tucker it was time to go in for a nap he said, "Its not possible to be." He then went on to explain that his bed was "dangerous and expensive". Whatever that means.

Thank Heaven for little girls!!

Don't get me wrong, Tucker is a big sweetheart, love that kid like crazy! But man, its fun having a little girl!!!

Halloween

So I'm kind of a dissapointment of a mom this Halloween. I decided to just have Tucker be his same horse costume from last year, cause it was so cute, and still fit (and then I didn't have to be creative and come up with something else.) For Nora Jane, well she was just going to wear Tucker's skunk costume from his first Halloween (also no creativity necessary). But the truth is they don't really care about Trick-or-treating yet, and I certainly don't want all that extra candy hanging around (cause I'll just eat it). So we didn't dress them up or go Trick-or-treating. Sad, I know. We did, however, dress the kids up for the ward Halloween party, I just didn't get any pictures. And Nora Jane, well she's just so much smaller than Tucker was, that truthfully the skunk wouldn't fit her, so she wore her "angel" pajamas.

However, here is a picture from Tucker's first Halloween taken just before putting on the skunk costume. It came up on my slide show of pictures on my computer the other day, and it made me think how much smaller Nora Jane is. So I took the same picture of her. She is a month older (since she was born in April, and Tucker in May) and much more moble, so it was difficult to get a picture before she rolled, or crawled off the dresser.

I don't know if the pictures show it, but she's just littler than him. Regardless, I just thought it was fun to compare the two.

Halloween at Gardner Village

My friend Elly and I have started doing a little "preschool" for our boys Tucker and Luke. (Sometimes their friend Sam comes too.) Its been pretty fun, and a nice break for Elly and I, once a week for an hour (I'll take anything at this point). To celebrate Halloween, we decided to go to Gardner Village and have lunch. (Each of us with two kids each....memories...yea!) We also took the boys to the petting zoo there.

Lake Powell

We went to Lake Powell in October with some friends from our ward, the Carters and the Smiths. It was tons of fun. We stayed in the Lake Powell resort, and went into Paige at night for dinner. I'm guessing this will be only the first of many trips there, Daniel seems to be right at home on that lake. Tucker will hopefully enjoy tubing more next summer...but it was a nice attempt.

Tucker had "the runs" for the first few days on the trip. Then, the last day we were there, he wanted to play in the really cool kids pool. But we had to switch to a different room. He cried as we left the pool, until we got back to our room, and then he just climbed up on our bed and wanted to sleep. I figured he was just worn out, but then finally realized he had a high fever. He spent the rest of that day and night in bed, poor kid, he was miserable. He would every so often say, "Mom, I love you." so I'd say it back, and then he'd say "No, I love you." It was so cute, and sad at the same time, cause you could tell he felt awful. Sunday morning, when we woke up to come home, he felt much better and said, "Now I can go swimming!! Come on mom!!" I felt so bad for the poor kid, that's all he could think about, now that he was finally all better.
