Tucker has had the awesome opportunity this summer to go to 3 weeks of Basketball Camp at Olympus High School (Daniel's Alma Mater). The really neat part has been that Tucker's Uncle Stuart is going to be a Senior there, and has been helping run the camp. So every day, Stu comes by and picks up Tucker to take him to the camp. It has been then neatest experience for Tucker to have an Uncle around that he can be so close with. Tucker honestly thinks of Stu (and all of Stu's friends) as his friends. A friend from our old neighborhood, has been sending her boys to the same camp, and when I talked to her the other day, she said that her son came home and told her all about this boy that is Tucker's twin, just bigger. When she explained it was his Uncle, he thought it was so cool!
Plus Tucker has met some of the other neighborhood boys, who have invited him over to play after camp. I knew they were a little older than him, but later found out they are 6th graders, and the parents couldn't believe how well Tucker keeps up with them. He's such a social animal!
Now that he's riding his bike so well, he's got this new found freedom, and we find him at different houses in the neighborhood everyday.
The other exciting part is that Tucker got his first very own Olympus T-shirt (If you saw Daniel's collection of them, you'd understand the significance of this) Today, he came home from his last day of camp, and Coach Barnes (Daniel's HS coach, who's still there) gave Tucker an extra T-shirt!!
So sad it over....what am I going to do with this kid all day now!??!
