Tucker's 4th Birthday

Tucker on his 4th birthday!

Tucker's first skateboard!

Ironman from his good friend Luke.

We invited a few families that we're friends with to come to Kangaroo Zoo on Tucker's birthday. It was a blast! Thanks Hille's, Carter's and Beck's!!

This was Tucker's family celebration on Sunday. He got a DC shirt from Uncle Stuart, Uncle Nathan and Aunt Brooke! He was sooo excited. It goes with his DC shoes.

Lego Toy from Grandma Pace.

A Transformer!

And another skateboard!! Tucker always was asking for two skateboards for his birthday, so that he could have one for his friend Luke to ride.

And an attempt from Mom (and Grandma and Amy) at a skateboard cake, per Tucker's request.

Mothers Day

Daniel and the kids woke me up with an envelope, and in the envelope was a print out of the email Daniel received saying that I had an iPad, and they would notify me when it was in the store!

Nora Jane's curls lasted beautifully for Mother's day! And this is the dress my mom bought Nora Jane for her birthday, and I've been dying to have her wear, but it's been so dang cold! I was so excited to take her out and take pictures.

Curly Q

We had a wedding reception to go to on Saturday, so when Nora Jane woke up with a sore bum, I decided to give her a bath, and put curlers in her hair, so see how it would turn out...

Here the kids are all dressed up for the reception:

Tucker's silly days

Tucker had "Silly Days" at his preschool. It was so fun getting him dressed and coming up with silly ways to dress him. I came up with the two different socks, and let him wear his "lightening McQueen" light up shoes that his uncle Stuart got him for Christmas. He hasn't been able to wear them much since I explained to him that they are so special that we only wear them at home and not out. ;) Tucker then thought it would be cool to wear to different shoes. And then we thought wearing a life jacket to school was just plain silly.

Got beauty

I took Nora Jane to this cute little store in Sugarhouse called "Got Beauty". She was so good...she walked all around the store with me, picking up cute little makeup and beauty trinkets and carefully looking at them and putting them back. Then she found a book that had a high heel shoe and purse on the cover of it, and had to read it, so she climbed up on the leopard print couch, which she first pet and called "cute". All the while she was carrying around her matching purse. I always knew I wanted a little girl to have fun shopping with...I had no idea it could be this fun!

Full mouth

I had to take Nora Jane to the doctors for her 2 year check up. We were in the middle of moving into my in-laws and Tucker had requested that grandma make norwegian pancakes for breakfast. We put one in a baggy for Nora Jane and took off for the doctor. I had just made it a couple houses down the street when I heard her crumpling up the baggy like she was all done eating it. I turned around to see that she had shoved the whole pancake in her mouth!

Nora Jane's 2nd Birthday

Nora Jane's 2nd birthday was soooo fun. I started planning it...well the cake months ago. I knew I wanted a high heel shoe on her cake, and that I wanted her Aunt Brooke to make it...as she has an amazing talent for making and working with fondant. It far exceeded my expectations for sure. I also knew I wanted to get Nora Jane dress-ups for this birthday a few months ago when we were at our friends house and she put on a dress up skirt and then grabbed both my hands and made me dance with her. She is such a girly girl and it makes me all giddy inside every time she does something girly!!

My sister, Camille, called me a couple of weeks ago and told me that target.com was having a sale on their pink kitchens. I had wanted to get this for Nora Jane for Christmas but didn't, and since it was such a great sale, I decided it would be perfect for her birthday. Then my mother-in-law wanted to know what to get her, and I thought a new table and chairs set from ikea would be perfect.

The dress-ups were a huge success....especially the cute purple tutu that her cute Aunt Annalisa sewed for her!!! Nora Jane loves putting it all on and playing around the house in them. That's the key for me...I was slightly hesitant to get into this phase, because I was worried it would be a fight to get her in real clothes to go out in public...but again this girl knows her stuff and even if she's in her dress ups, I can pull out any of her clothes and she's just as excited to put those on too.

Nora Jane, you are a lot of times what we call a "crazy diva", but truly I love your spunky personality and think you will bring years of enjoyment to our family. Love you.

Here's my new post

Kids have been sick...a lot! Daniel took me to Vegas, in January, and as my christmas present he went to Donny and Marie with me. (note the careful wording of that last sentence). We shopped, we ate, we got massages, enjoyed a break from the kids, and took not one single picture. Our house went under contract in January, and it seems we've been "going to move this weekend" ever since then. After a couple of extensions, it appears next week is the week!!! I really hope so, its time to move on with life.

Hopefully with Spring approaching, we will come out of hibernation, and have something worth blogging about again!!!

(and a new keyboard that I didn't have to manually pull up each key after touching it, due to the sprite Tucker spilled on it, would probably be motivation to blog again too.)

Merry Christmas 2009!

I finally got an electronic copy of my family christmas card from our photographer!
